Ignite youth ministry is our midweek ministry for high schooler’s (Yrs 9-13) at Invercargill Central Baptist Church, which meets weekly on a Tuesday night from 7-9pm at ICBC.

Ignite Summer Camp Wanaka 7-9th December 2018
Ignite Summer Camp is back again this year! We had so much fun, we’re doing it again! We’ve booked our spot again in the sunny Central Otago for an end of year weekend of water, sun and heaps of fun. Year 8’s invited to Ignite this term!
We’re heading toward the end of the academic year, and for some that will mean not just moving up a grade, but also moving up a youth group. With that in mind I’d like to invite all our current year 8’s to visit Ignite youth group at any time during term 4.
Milestones Service
On Sunday the 25th November a big part of the Flock Night service will be dedicated to a graduation of our group of year 13 young people.
That Sunday we’ll be celebrating with all of the young people who will be transitioning from, from intermediate to college and from college to life!
We’re going to say some very nice things about them, present them with a gift and pray for them as they embark on the next stage of their journey with us. We’ve planned something pretty special, so we hope that you and your family can be a part of this service.
Year 13 dinner
Each year we like to celebrate with our Yr 13’s, and spoil them a whole lot. This year is no different! We’ll be hosting a dinner, and celebrating the journey they’ve been on with us! We’ve tentatively booked Friday the 23rd of November for this event, and we’ll have more information for you in the next few weeks.
Flock – Sunday Night Service
FLOCK is our Sunday night Service starts at 7pm every Sunday and is a big part of our high school ministry. It’s a relaxed service, with a strong emphasis on belonging. We like to wrestle with big issues, and invite people to find their place in the gospel story. We encourage young people who would like to serve to find a place to do it here. Parents welcome, anytime!
We have an open-door policy for parents and guardians at any of our youth ministry events. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a young person attending our youth ministry event, you are welcome to join us for any part of, or the duration of any event. We love our parents to take an active interest in our youth ministry!
